There are many different grooming tools on the market, including brushes. Depending on the type of dog you are grooming and the effect you are trying to create will be best done with the correct type of hair brush. There are several different types of brushes, including a shampooing brush, a slicker brush and a pin brush.
These come in different sizes as well. For example, the pin brush comes in a firm pin or a softer pin. They also come in long pin brushes and short pin brushes. If you have a very heavy-coated dog you would want to use the long pin brush. These brushes also come in a handy pocket size for quick fix ups at a show or even when out in the neighborhood.
The slicker brush can come in different sizes, from a tiny brush for tiny dogs, etc. Having a tiny slicker brush is useful for those delicate tender spots, such as in the arm pit area. This brush should have soft bristles, of course.
The shampoo brush doubles as a massage brush. We recommend you always use this great brush in the bathtub. It’s great for stimulating the skin and deep cleaning.
Here’s a nice array of the different brushes we have available. You can add these to your Mink Sheen order.
